113 voters from Namchi District cast their votes in the second day of home voting for the General Elections 2024
Namchi, April 5: (IPR) 113 voters from Namchi District cast their votes in the second day of home voting for the General Elections 2024.
They participated in voting for seven Assembly Constituencies and one Parliamentary Constituency from the comfort of their homes.
The “Vote from Home” is a new scheme spearheaded by the Election Commission of India (ECI) that allows senior citizens over 85 and those with disabilities to cast postal ballots at their doorsteps.
255 voters from Namchi District are presently using the home vote facilities out of which 237 have already cast their votes in two days, starting from 4th April.
It may be mentioned here that the ‘Vote from Home’ facility commenced on 4 April is extended till 8 April in Namchi District.
