172nd Birth Anniversary of Late. Padri Ganga Prasad Pradhan cum Silver Jubilee of Christian Youth Combined Fellowship (CYCF) was celebrated at Jorethang Community hall

Namchi, 8th July(IPR): The 172nd Birth Anniversary of Late. Padri Ganga Prasad Pradhan cum Silver Jubilee of Christian Youth Combined Fellowship (CYCF) was celebrated at Jorethang Community hall, today.
The Chief Minister Shri.Prem Singh Tamang graced the occasion as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Deputy Speaker, Mr. Sangay Lepcha, Minister for AH&VS, Mr. Lok Nath Sharma, Area MLA Ms. Sunita Gazmer, MLAs, Advisors, Chairpersons, Political Secretary, Senior Pastors, HODs from various Departments, dignitaries and members of CYCF along with the Christian community of all six districts.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude and extended his warm wishes to CYCF for completion of the glorious 25 years in Sikkim. He emphasised the importance the teachings of Jesus Christ for a prosperous life. He also stressed on community development stating one should embrace the collective “we” mindset as to achieve harmony. He urged the members to continue with their dedicated services, especially towards youths, who will nurture the society through their noble acts and practices in the future.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has been able to make progress in various sectors such as Health, Education, and Agricultural etc. because of the dedication and efforts put in by the officials, stakeholders and public at large.
In addition, he encouraged the public to spread love and happiness through religious practices and directed everyone to do away with the four C’s and incorporate one C in their lives i.e. ‘Don’t Criticize, Don’t Cry, Don’t Complain, Don’t Compare and Give Compliment’.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister pledged to fulfill all the demands made by over 50 churches across the State at the earliest.
The official website of CYCF was launched along with the theme song. An album titled ‘Upahar Bardan’ by Mr. Pradeep Biswakarma was also released,which was followed by documentary presentation of CYCF.
The Chief Minister along with Ps. C P Subba, Ps. Aliya Rai, Ps. K D Khaling, El. Pukar Gurung and the Drugs Safai Abhiyan Group, Jorethang were felicitated by the organising committee.
The programme also had various dance and song as well as acrobatic performances by the youth of the Christian community.
It may be mentioned here that Lt. Padri Ganga Prasad Pradhan is the first Pastor in the Nepali Community, who translated English Bible to Nepali. Additionly, he is also the the co-author of English-Nepali Dictionary.
