2nd day visit of Hon’ble Governor at Namchi District

Namchi,8th May(IPR): The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri. Lakshman Prasad Acharya visited Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Institute (JNMIH) for visually impaired and and an old age home at Boomtar, today.
He was accompanied by DC(Namchi) Shri.M. Bharani Kumar, ASP (Namchi) Shri. Parshu Sharma, Deputy Director, Women and Child Welfare Department Shri. Nakul Rawat and others officials of Namchi district.
At the outset, the Governor congratulated and extended his warm wishes to the teachers and students of JNMIH and applauded the students for their exemplary singing performance.
Additionally, he also expressed his appreciation to the District officials for establishing an institute that is enabling students to become self resilient and self sufficient.
During his visit, the Governor inspected and interacted with the visually impaired students and senior citizens of old age home.
Further, the Governor also handed over the necessary amenities and provided assistance to the students and senior citizens as the token of love.
Furthermore, the Governor will proceed towards Ravangla, where he will visit various places including, Tathagata Tsal (Buddha Park), VCGL Senior Secondary School, Ralang Monastery and Anganwadi Centres. In addition, he will also attend meetings and hold an interaction sessions with the officials and public of Ravangla.
