2nd District Level Athletics Meet 2025 Held in Namchi

Namchi, February 21 (IPR): The 2nd District Level Athletics Meet 2025 took place at Namchi Public School Ground, organised by the Namchi District Athletic Association. The event was supported by Sun Pharma Laboratories Ltd. Sikkim, Sikkim Athletic Association and Stars of Hope.
A total of 425 students from various schools and youth from Namchi district participated in the competition, which featured different age categories:
Under 14 Boys – 121, Girls – 84
Under 16 Boys – 58, Girls – 37
Under 18 Boys – 48, Girls – 43
Open Category Men – 22, Women – 12
The event was supervised by Mr. Basant Pradhan, President cum Deputy Director Sports and Youth Affairs Department Namchi , along with Mrs Nim Choden Bhutia Assistant Director, Sports and Youth Affairs Department Namchi.
With increased participation, the event highlighted the growing enthusiasm for athletics among the youth.
Also in attendance were Father NPS, teachers from nearby schools and officers from the Sports Department.
