Hon’ble MLA Yangang and district officials visited Pathing to assess the situation of rockslide

Namchi Jan 27 : Hon’ble MLA Yangang, DC Namchi alongwith SDM Yangang, BDO Yangang and officials of SDM office Yangang visited Pathing to assess the situation of rockslide at Pathing.
The residents of the affected area had appealed for a permanent solution owing to the danger posed to their lives and livelihood due to the falling boulders. The team inspected the available Government land at Rangang Block to explore the possibility of resettlement of the affected households. The team also visited Kissan Bazaar to view the plots being allotted to 26 landslide victims.
Following the inspection, DC/ Namchi along with officials of SDM office Yangang, and residents of the area visited the scarp of the Pathing landslide, which falls under reserve forest, to propose possible options for mitigating the landslide.
