District Collector(Namchi) and officials visited Jorethang and Majhitar Compound

Namchi, 17th February: District Collector(Namchi) Mr. M. Bharani along with SDM (Jorethang) Ms. Saloni Pradhan and DPO (Namchi) visited Jorethang and Majhitar Compound to assess the precautionary measures taken by DANS Energy Pvt Ltd as per the guidelines issued by Home Department, Government of Sikkim.
The DC along with his team inspected Barrage Site at Karfectar, Akar Bridge area and Power House of DANS Energy at Majhitar. All safety measures undertaken by DANS Energy were checked thoroughly and found satisfactory.
Further, the DC also directed the DANS Energy Officials to take up immediately the rim treatment and slope protection works in the upstream area below Lall Shore village as mitigation measures following the recommendations of Mines & Geology Department.
