Mahashivratri celebrated at Siddheshwara Dham

Namchi, 1st March (IPR): Along with the rest of the country the auspicious festivity of Mahashivratri was celebrated at Siddheshwara Dham in Namchi, today. The celebration began with Maha Aarti followed by various other activities which had the participation of Chairman Namchi Municipal Council Shri. Ganesh Rai and other devotees.
The occasion also saw jhanki and rally procession organised by students from Bermoik Sanskrit Pathsala,West Sikkim. This procession was conducted to spread the message of peace, harmony and unity.
It maybe mentioned that Maha Shivratri is considered as one of the most auspicious festivals in India and is celebrated across the country with great zeal. Maha Shivratri is marked every year on Krishna Paksha Chaturdashi in the month of Falgun.
This year, Maha Shivratri or the ‘greatest night of Lord Shiva’ is being observed on 1 March, 2022.
