2nd District Level Coordination and Monitoring Committee Meeting for Namchi District under PMVDY held at DAC Namchi

Namchi, 5th April: The 2nd District Level Coordination and Monitoring Committee Meeting for Namchi District under Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojna (PMVDY) was held at DAC, Namchi today. The meeting was chaired by DC (Namchi) Mr. M. Bharani, Joint Registrar Coperation Department (Namchi) Mr. Pem Dorjee Bhutia and officials from others allied departments.
It maybe mentioned that PMVDY flagship program is under Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. This yojna is being implemented in Sikkim by the Co-operation Department as the Implementing Agency and the Department of Science and Technology as the Nodal Agency.
The meeting was also attended by the members of the District Level Coordination and Monitoring Committee, this committe is responsible for assessment of respective Kendras afterwhich facilities shall be provided to sustain the project as per the guidelines prescribed by Government of India. Moreover, agendas pertaining to the Van Dhan Vikas Kendras were also discussed and approved by the committee.
