“KNOW YOUR CITY WALK” held to commemorate 75th year of India’s independence i.e Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav (AKAM)

Namchi,3 May (IPR) : To commemorate 75th year of India’s independence i.e Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav ( AKAM) ” KNOW YOUR CITY WALK” was held on 03/05/2022 , 6:30AM to 10:30AM from DAC Namchi to Namchi Helipad in the District. The said program was organised under the banner of ” Celebration of North East festival “
Retd.Director SIRD Jorethang, Shri D.T Bhutia graced the event as resource person with his 60+ years of knowledge and wisdom about the Namchi city and its Heritage.
Participants started from DAC center and touched following historic points :
1. Court complex
2. Namchi Bazaar
3. District Hospital
4. Dak Bunglow
6. Baichung stadium/ Allay ground
7. Purano Namchi
8. Chardham road.
9. Sai Mandir
10. Assangthang Helipad
Breakfast at Flavors Restaurant
ADM Namchi, Shri Anant Jain, Joint Director Education Namchi District, Shri GP Sharma along with school students, local residents and NYK Volunteers participated in the “KNOW YOUR CITY” walk.
