Coordination Meeting for the celebration of Rankey Mela 2022 held at DC Office, Namchi

The meeting was chaired by Advisor Skill Development Department Mr. Satish Chandra Rai, Councillor Upper Ghurpisey Mr. Pem Norbu Bhutia, DC (Namchi)Mr. M. Bharani Kumar alongwith ADC (Namchi) Mr. Satyan Pradhan and officials from different line departments.

Addressing, the meeting DC Namchi Mr. Bharani Kumar highlighted about the various agendas for the successfull organization of Rankey Mela. He said that due to pandemic this festival could not be celebrated for 2yrs and as such this year it should be celebrated in a grand manner. He informed the officials of the line departments to prepare for their roles and responsibilities in an efficient manner.

During the meeting Mr. Pem Norbu Bhutia said that this year Rankey Mela would be celebrated with a bit different manner. Adding to the taste of tradition followed during the mela, some new attraction shall also be added, such as the exhibition of stalls by some departments, musical show and so on. He further added that this year the mela will be celebrated for two days i.e. on 16th and 17th of July.
