World Bicycle Day observed in Namchi District

Namchi, 3rd June (IPR): World Bicycle Day was observed in Namchi District, today. The ‘Cycle Rally’, organized by Namchi District Hospital had the presence of Chairperson (Namchi Municipal Council) Mr. Ganesh Rai as the Chief Guest. Also, present amongst others were CMO (Namchi) Dr. D.C Sharma, Chief Consultant cum District Nodal Officer Dr. Urgen Sherpa, AD(Sports Department) Mr. Basant Pradhan, District Health Education Officer Ms. Roshni Thapa alongside other participants.
The rally was flagged off by the Chief Guest at Bhaichung Stadium which had a total number of 29 competitors. The exhilarating joy ride, spanning a distance of 10 km, commenced from the Stadium to Helipad and back to the starting point.
The first, second and third position was grabbed by Mr. Joel Chettri, Mr. Prasant Rai and Mr. Sarlin Paudyal, respectively. Certificated were also distributed to the winners and the other attendees.
