SIRD&PR organized a two-day Writeshop on “Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Model for Rural Sikkim” from 5th to 6th July

Namchi, 7th July: State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (SIRD& PR), Rural Development Department (RDD), Jorethang organized a two-day Writeshop on “Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Model for Rural Sikkim” from 5th to 6th July. The programme was attended by various Rural Entrepreneurs from all over Sikkim.
The programme also saw an active participation of various stakeholder including Government Departments, Non Governmental Organizations, private companies, SEED Cell, SHGs , FPOs, IFFCO, SISCO Bank and Elected Members of the Local Government.
Director SIRD&PR,RDD, Shree Bishal Mukhia highlighted the potential sectors of Farm and Non-Farm in the state of Sikkim and also spoke about Technology, Innovation, Progress and Opportunities of Rural Entrepreneurs in these sectors. Course Director Shree. Varun Chettri also highlighted the present opportunities and exploring the different sub-sector in the Rural Entrepreneurial scenario. The Writeshop showed active participation of all the stakeholders and a linear form of Way-Ahead was discussed in the Sikkim Rural Entrepreneurial Scenario.
