Shri. Uday Mahurkar, Information Commissioner (I.C) of Central Information Commission, New Delhi, who is on a State Visit, toured Namchi District

Namchi, 28th September(IPR): Shri. Uday Mahurkar, Information Commissioner (I.C) of Central Information Commission, New Delhi, who is on a State Visit, toured Namchi District, today.
Upon his arrival at Temi Tea Estate, the I.C was received by Manager Smt. Bandana Pradhan, Assistant Manager Shri. Pratik Gautam, other officials and staff members of the estate.
Proceeding onwards the tea factory, he was shown the tea manufacturing process including withering, oxidation, grading, sorting and other elements. The factory manager briefed him about the quality of temi tea being produced at the estate which has garnered global recognisations as an Organic Tea due to it’s organic manuring method.
This was followed by his journey to Namchi wherein, he visited the two pilgrimage sites namely Samdruptse and Siddheshwar Dham. He offered his prayers and sought blessings.
Throughout the tour, the I.C was accompanied by his wife Smt. Smita Mahorkar along with his other family members and L.O Shri. Bhim Lal Nepal.
Thereafter, the I.C proceeded towards Gangtok, where he will be visiting various places in and around the capital.
