Creative learning books added in prominent Child Care Institutions as a short step in achieving the state’s long term goal of providing quality education

Namchi,3rd October: It is a proud moment for District Administration to share the addition of creative learning books, in prominent Child Care Institutions, a short step in achieving the state’s long term goal of providing quality education, and resources to each and every student.
This has been made possible with the assistance of Sarvahitay NGO, a non-profit organisation, dedicated to achieve the inspirational goal of providing and assisting education centres and libraries across multiple district and states in India.
DAC, in MOU with Sarvahitay NGO, had coordinated addition of around 700 books related to various themes such as story books, memoirs, Biographies, religious texts, motivational books, and novels etc. These books were handed over to the following CCIs by DCPO: Mayal Layang Children Home, Kapinzal Children Home, Suraksha Open Shelter Home and Manjusha Open Shelter Home.
It is pertinent to note that each CCIs has a library, and addition Quality content such as creative books and providing sound reading environment in libraries of Child Care Institutions can enhance the learning outcomes of students by fostering a reading habit, a crucial skill to learning.
Furthermore, DAC is looking to coordinate and collaborate with interested individual and organisations, who share similar sentiments about importance of providing quality education in the state of Sikkim.
