Adhikari, District Medical Superintendent Dr. M.M Dhakal and District Nodal Officer Dr. Urgen Sherpa, alongwith specialists from Namchi District Hospital, visited various temporary relief camps under Namchi District

Namchi, 7th October: Secretary Health & Family Welfare Department, Dr. A. B. Karki, along with the Chief Medical Officer Dr S.N. Adhikari, District Medical Superintendent Dr. M.M Dhakal and District Nodal Officer Dr. Urgen Sherpa, alongwith specialists from Namchi District Hospital, visited various temporary relief camps under Namchi District. They visited camps namely at Namphing Srikrishna Pranami Mandir, Melli Government Senior Secondary School and Bhawana Academy, Mamring.
During the visit, the secretary and the medical team interacted with health officials present at the camp. He also assessed the hospital’s preparedness to handle the situation in these camps. Additionally, the secretary, asserted that the department will extend its full support in order to help them tend the rescued individuals lodged in the camp’s. Moreover, he encouraged the health staff to give their optimum care and expertise while checking the individuals.
Some of the activities conducted at these temporary relief camps were health screenings, imparting counselling on infectious diseases, it’s prevention and control measures, overall hygiene, yoga, and exercise.
It maybe mentioned that there have been no casualties, and everyone was found to be in sound health.
