Namchi, 30th October (IPR): The picturesque town of Rabongla was filled with excitement as Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang arrived to attend the golden jubilee celebration of Government Junior High School, Namlung.
Upon his arrival, Chief Minister was accorded a grand reception, as he received a ceremonial guard of honor at Buddha Park, Rabongla.
As a symbol of his dedication to the region’s development and tourism potential, the Chief Minister took up an inspection of the ChoZho Lake, which is currently under construction in preparation for the upcoming tourism festival ‘Rabong Rediscover.’
The serene and picturesque ChoZho Lake promises to be a key attraction for both tourists and locals alike.
During his visit, the Chief Minister wasted no time in setting the wheels of progress in motion. He directed the Buildings & Housing department to expedite the construction work and ensure that the lake is not only ready for the festival but also becomes a year-round tourist destination.
The aim is to provide a delightful recreational space for families and friends which consists of a children park, cafeteria, zip line, tree house, volleyball court and a stage for local performances.

– Alumni Association of GD Goenka Public School, Siliguri donated Rs 1,16,800/-
– Lhatsun Dharma Centre, Rabong donated Rs 50,100/-
– Employees Welfare Association, Ralong donated Rs 50,000/-
– Probationary teachers batch 2014 donated Rs 40,000/-
– Shri Lhendup Dorjee Bhutia from Barfung donated Rs 22,000/-
