Preparatory Meeting for State Level National Education Day 2023

Namchi, 7 November(IPR): A preparatory meeting for the upcoming State Level National Education Day celebration, 2023 was convened at the office of District Collector, Namchi, today.
The meeting was chaired by Mr M. Bharani Kumar DC (Namchi). He was accompanied by Dr. S.N Adhikari CMO (Namchi) Mr Pulkit Assistant Collector, Mr Gopal Kumar Chettri SDM (HQ) along with the officers from the line departments.
During the meeting, the DC enquired about a series of regulations to the officers pertaining to the celebration including seating arrangements, decorations, water provision, cleanliness, safety and traffic management at the venue. He also directed the officers to work in coordination for the smooth functioning of the event.
It was informed that Namchi District will host this year’s State Level National Education Day Celebration,2023, which will be celebrated at Kishan Market.
It may be mentioned that National Education Day is observed on 11th November every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Shri Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India.
During the course of the meeting,the tentative meeting agendas were comprehensively discussed, where the officers also addressed their suggestions and queries regarding the celebration.
