DC Namchi, Ms Annapurna Alley chaired the monthly NCORD meeting at DAC

Namchi, January 10 (IPR): DC Namchi, Ms Annapurna Alley chaired the monthly NCORD meeting at DAC, today.
Present during the meeting were ADC Namchi Mr Anant Jain, Sy. SP Namchi Dr. T N Gyatsho and officials from line departments.
The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the crucial issues related to narcotics which has been affecting the district.
DC Namchi, urged NCORD members to adopt a proactive stance in fortifying the collective effort to combat drug-related challenges in Namchi District and enhance overall community safety.
Sy.SP Namchi highlighted the growing concerns related to narcotics, emphasising the need for heightened awareness during the upcoming General Election 2024.
To address the issue, Sy. SP proposed a comprehensive sensitisation program, urging administration stationed at check posts to be well-informed. Additionally, all pharmacies in the district are now under CCTV surveillance as a preventive measure against illicit drug activities.
Furthermore, an Anti-Drugs Awareness Programme is scheduled for January 18th at Namthang Bazar. The event will witness collaboration between the District Administration, Police Department, Health Department, Education Department, and other concerned entities.
