Second round of training for Polling and Presiding Officers commences in Namchi

Namchi, Feb 12 (IPR): The second round of training for Presiding and Polling Officers in preparation for General Election 2024 commenced at District Administrative Centre, Namchi, today.
Two separate batches were trained simultaneously in two venues – DAC conference hall and at the Auditorium of Namchi Senior Secondary School.
The day-long training sessions was facilitated by Ms Merina Rai Joint Secretary Election Cell, Pakyong and Dr CP Khatiwada Assistant Professor NGC, State Level Master Trainer.
A total of 96 officers attended the training, among them 48 were polling and the other 48 were presiding officers.
The Second round of training that commenced today will end on 14th February, 2024.
Notable attendees on the first day included Mr Anant Jain ADC Namchi, Mr Sunil Mothey ADC(dev), SDM (HQ) Mr Gopal K Chettri and ALMT’s.
