Namchi District gears up for Jan Barosha Sammelan, 2024

Namchi, February 26 (IPR): Ms Annapurna Alley DC Namchi took stock on the preparedness for the upcoming Jan Barosha Sammelan, 2024 at the playground of Government Junior High School, Lameytar, Temi Tarku today.
The DC was accompanied by Mr Tashi Tshering Bhutia Chairman Temi Tea Garden, Mr Sunil Mothey ADC Development Ravangla, Mr D T Bhutia Joint Director Horticulture, Mr Sandeep Rai Deputy Engineer, Mr Nakul Rawat Deputy Director Women and Child Development Department, Mr Kyondit Lepcha Welfare Officer, Mr Tulsi Thapa SDPO Ravangla, Mr Karma Tenzing Bhutia BDO Temi, Mr Sanjeev Das Rai BDO Ravangla, Mr Durga Prasad Sharma Panchayat President Upper Temi Tea Garden GPU along with other officers and staff from the line departments and Temi Tea Garden Management team.
During the visit, the DC enquired about the necessary measures pertaining to the venue for the Jan Barosha Sammelan, 2024 to be held on the 27 February. Further, she assigned various roles and responsibilities to the line departments and directed the officers to work in coordination ensuring the safety and security of the public.
The DC also suggested the officers to make the various arrangements on time bound including traffic management, power supply, water provision, manpower, sanitation facilities for the convenience of the public.
It may be mentioned here that Jan Barosha Sammelan,2024 under Namchi district will be conducted at two venues namely at the playground of Government Junior High School, Lameytar, Temi Tarku and Kitam Senior Secondary School Playground respectively.
