Training Conducted for Home Voting Teams in Namchi District
Namchi, April 1 (IPR): Training for Home Voting Teams was conducted for Sector Magistrate, AROs, Micro Observers, Polling Officers, BLOs and Videographers at Townhall, Namchi district, today.
The training session was attended by Mr Gopal K Chettri SDM (HQ) Namchi, Mr Sunil Kumar Mothay ADC (Dev) Ravangla, Ms Bhumika Chettri Deputy Secretary Election Cell, Mr Rajiv Rai, Incharge of Facilitation Centre for Postal Ballot & ETPBs along with the staff of DAC Namchi and trainees.
Mr Sunil K Mothay, gave in-depth details about Home Voting facility for senior citizens aged 85+ and Person with Disabilities (PwD) voters with a 40% benchmark disability.
He elaborated the roles and responsibilities of the home voting team and highlighted the specific roles of the Sector Officer, Polling Officer, Micro Observer and videographers.
The explanation was given through PowerPoint presentation.
Mr. Rajiv Rai thoroughly briefed and provided essential instructions regarding Postal Ballot Voting facility for Home Voting, ensuring clarity and efficiency in the above mentioned matter. Further, he demonstrated on filling of Postal Ballot forms, followed by sealing of envelopes.
