Two days District level Review Meeting for Namchi District held on June 25th and 26th, 2024 at Namchi under National Health Mission (NHM)

Namchi, 26 June : Two days District level Review Meeting for Namchi District was under the Chairpersonship of the Principal Director cum Mission Director NHM, Health & Family Welfare Department.
The objective of the meeting was to assess all the Public Health Program till the block level for the attainment of Universal access to Equitable, Affordable and Quality Health care Services, accountable and responsive to people’s needs with effective intersectoral convergent action to address the wider social determinants of health.
Key officials in attendance included the Director cum Chief Medical Officer, District RCH Officer, District Surveillance Officer, District Program Manager, District Accounts Manager from Namchi District Hospital and all Medical Officer In charges with their respective Block Program Manager of seven Community & Primary Health Centres under Namchi District.
Also present in the meeting from the State Health Headquarters were Director cum State Nodal Officers for NHM & HR, all State Program Officer , Chief Account Officer, Budget & Finance Officer, developing partner like JHPIEGO, UNICEF and UNDP for various Programs viz.
• Reproductive and Child Health (RCH)
• Immunization
• Child and Adolescent Health (RBSK/RKSK)
• Disease Surveillance (IDSP/NVBDCP/NRCP)
• Leprosy and Hepatitis (NLEP/NVHCP)
• Non-Communicable Diseases (NP-NCD/PMNDP/NPCB&VI/NPPCD/NMHP)
• Elderly and Palliative Care (NPHCE/NPPC)
• Free Drugs & diagnostics (FDSI)
• Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC)
• Climate Change and Human health (NPCCHH)
• Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM)
All the State Program Officers had a brief presentation on their program. The District and PHCs shared their achievements for the 2023-24 fiscal year.
The meeting focused on reviewing progress, monitoring & supervising for gap assessment and extensive deliberations and discussions on planning future actions to improve health service delivery till the grassroot levels.
Finance Division of National Health Mission insisted on timely Utilization of Funds, Proper Utilization Certificate, Proper Book Keeping/Record Keeping and following of financial rules of the State and other guidelines of NHM.
Further in her concluding remark PD cum Mission Director (NHM) emphasized on proper implementation of all National Health Programs so that health services reach the ‘last mile’ with the ultimate objective to promote better Health outcomes and improve wellbeing of the entire population of Sikkim through these concerted efforts.
Similar review meeting would be done for all Districts by first week of July2024.
