Minister flags off Open Women Marathon and Open Women Senior Citizen Walkathon at Namchi Rankey Mela celebration

Namchi, July 16 (IPR): In accordance with Rankey Mela celebration at Namchi, Mr Bhojraj Rai, Minister for Urban Development and Food & Civil Supplies Department, Government of Sikkim, flagged off the Open State Level Women Marathon and Women Senior Citizens Walkathon today on the first day of the celebration.
Earlier to the flagging off of the marathon and walkathon, the Minister appreciated the organising committee for encouraging the public to a healthy lifestyle and gave words of encouragement to the participants.
It may be mentioned that the first day hosted Open Women’s Marathon run and the second day, that is tomorrow on 17th July, 2024, will witness Open Men’s Marathon run and Open Men Senior Citizen’s Walkathon.
