DC Namchi flags off the State Level Open Men Marathon and Men Senior Citizen Walkathon at Namchi District

Namchi, July 17(IPR): Ms Anupa Tamling DC Namchi flagged off the State Level Open Men Marathon and Men Senior Citizen Walkathon as a part of the Rankey Mela Celebration, 2024, this morning.
The DC was accompanied by Mr Subash Ghimirey ADC Namchi, Ms T Ongmu Bhutia Joint Director Sports and Youth Affairs Department Namchi, Dr SN Adhikari CMO Namchi, Mr Basant Pardhan Deputy Director Sports and Youth Affairs Department Namchi along with the officers and staffs from District Administrative Centre, Health and Family Welfare Department and members of Rankey Mela Celebration Committee.
While briefing the participants, the DC Namchi applauded the participants in participating for a healthier Sikkim and healthier Namchi. She also extended her best wishes to the participants and ensured them for the safety measures in order to refrain from any kind of injuries.
It may be mentioned here that the State Level Open Men Marathon and Men Senior Citizen Walkathon was organised by Rankey Mela Committee in collaboration with District Administrative Centre Namchi to promote healthy lifestyles in the state.
