Comprehensive Training on Special Summary Revision 2025 Conducted for Booth Level Officers and Electoral Registration Officers under Namchi District

Namchi, 23 August 2024 (IPR): Training for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) on the Special Summary Revision (SSR) 2025 was conducted today at the auditorium of Namchi Senior Secondary School, today.
The session was attended by Ms Anupa Tamling DC Namchi, Mr Subash Ghimirey ADC (HQ), Mr Zangpo Gyaltsen Deputy CEO/IT, Ms Bhumika Chettri Deputy Secretary Election Cell Namchi, Mr Saran Kalikhotey SDM Namchi alongwith EROs, BLOs, and officers from various line departments.
Mr Zangpo Gyaltsen, Deputy CEO/IT State Level Master Trainer (SLMT), served as the Master Trainer for the event.
The primary goal of the training was to improve the BLOs’ understanding and proficiency in the SSR process.
In her address, the District Collector expressed her gratitude to the participants and reminded them to review the list of absentees to confirm their absence. She encouraged new BLOs to seek guidance from their experienced colleagues and the election department, underscoring their pivotal role in maintaining the Electoral Roll’s integrity. The District Commissioner also emphasised the importance of thorough verification before approving Election Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) and conducting detailed house-to-house surveys. She concluded by encouraging attendees to ask questions and seek clarification on any concerns they might have.
Mr Zangpo Gyaltsen provided a detailed overview of SSR procedures through a PowerPoint presentation. Topics included Pre-Revision Activities, House-to-House Surveys, Rationalising and Rearranging Polling Stations, Enhancing the Image Quality in the Electoral Roll, and Instructions on Using the BLO App.
Following the presentation, the Master Trainer engaged actively with the EROs and BLOs, addressing their queries and providing further clarification.
