Namchi District Destroys Seized Psychotropic Substances at District Hospital

Namchi, August 30 (IPR): Seized controlled and psychotropic substances for Namchi District were destroyed in the incinerator room at Namchi District Hospital.
The procedure was conducted with the necessary authorization from the Ld. District Sessions Judge, Namchi, and under the supervision of the “District Level Drug Disposal Committee.”
The program had the presence of Dr T N Gyatsho Sr SP and Chairman (DLDDC), Mr Nim Pintsho Bhutia SDM (HQ), Ms Pema Rana Dy.SP/SDPO, Dr S N Adhikari CMO, Mr Lakpa Sangay Drug Inspector (South/West), Mr Pem Norbu Bhutia, Councillor NMC, and two independent witnesses.
The specifics of the disposed contraband and controlled substances are as follows:
•Spasmo-Proxyvon Capsules – 40,429 nos
•Nitrosun 10 Tablets – 1,350 nos
•Cough Syrup – 798 Bottles
•Brown Sugar – 11.304 Grams
•Marijuana – 21.128 Grams
All legal formalities required for the process were duly followed.
