Social Welfare Department Hosts Graffiti Event as Part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in Namchi
Namchi, 31 August (IPR): Under the auspices of DC Namchi, Ms Anupa Tamling, the Social Welfare Department under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), organised a vibrant graffiti event highlighting the theme of waste segregation, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan
and Pedestrianism .
The event was conducted under the supervision of Ms Dimee Bhutia WI, Ms Methela Rai Aspirational Block Fellow and Officers of LR&DM, Namchi.
The event took place on 30th and 31st August, featuring participation from students of Namchi Government College, Loyola College, District Institute of Educational Training (DIET) Namchi, CCCT Chisopani as well as staff members from the LR&DM Namchi.
To inspire and encourage a healthier lifestyle, Mr Bhoj Raj Rai, Minister of Urban Development and Food and Civil Supplies Departments, honoured the event with his presence today.
This initiative forms part of a broader national effort to combat drug abuse and promote a drug-free India. It aims to increase awareness and foster proactive measures against drug abuse, contributing towards the vision of a drug-free society.
It is noteworthy that the event received crucial support, including necessary infrastructure, materials, and logistical assistance, generously provided by DC Namchi to ensure its success.
