Generous Donation Enhances Blood Bank Facilities at Namchi District Hospital
Namchi, 2 September (IPR) : Mr Bhoj Raj Rai Minister for Urban Development and Food & Civil Supplies Departments, has generously donated a Blood Bank Refrigerator (REMI 180) to the Namchi Blood Centre, located within the District Hospital Namchi.
The inauguration of this essential equipment took place today, with the Minister officiating the event.
The inaugural ceremony was held in the presence of Dr SN Adhikari Director and Chief Medical Officer of Namchi District Hospital, Dr Dichen Ongmu Bhutia Blood Bank Officer, along with Heads of Departments (HODs), officers, and staff members of the District Hospital Namchi.
The Blood Bank is often regarded as the heart of a hospital, essential for delivering life-saving blood to those in critical need. Since there is no artificial substitute for blood and its shelf life is limited to 35 days, proper storage in a Blood Bank Refrigerator is crucial for maintaining its vital functions.
The newly donated refrigerator will significantly aid in the storage and steady supply of blood units. This contribution is poised to be a beacon of hope for countless patients requiring life-saving blood.
The Namchi Blood Centre, District Hospital Namchi, extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Minister for his generous donation and unwavering commitment to enhancing district healthcare facilities.
