DC Namchi chairs meeting with the committee for upcoming National Panchayat Awards

Namchi, September 3 (IPR): Ms Anupa Tamling DC Namchi chaired a meeting with the newly formed committee members for the National Panchayats Awards at the District Administrative Centre, today.
The meeting had presence of Dr C P Rai ADC Development Namchi, Mr Sunil Mothey, ADC Development Ravangla, Mr Nim Pintsho Bhutia SDM HQ along with the HoOs from line departments.
During the meeting, the DC instructed the committee to conduct thorough and fair assessments of the Gram Panchayat Units (GPUs) assigned to them and to ensure that the government schemes are properly implemented and registered for the National Panchayat Awards. Further, she also emphasised on the importance of coordination among committee members to achieve optimal results.
Mr Khemraj Chhetri Panchayat Coordinator for Namchi district outlined the criteria and verification processes for the awards, including both online and offline procedures for nominations.
In addition, he also highlighted that the National Panchayat Awards, which started in 2023 aims to evaluate the performance and dedication of GPUs across the state. He also provided guidance on completing the online questionnaires necessary for GPU assessments.
