Phongla Secondary School flagged off its Platinum Jubilee celebration

Namchi, 22 September: Phongla Secondary School flagged off its Platinum Jubilee celebration by Shri Jacob Khaling, former Political Secretary to the Honorable Chief Minister, accompanied by Shri Bhim Dhungel former Minister, Shri Pravin Gautam, SDM Namthang, Shri Ratan Gurung BDO, Namthang, Shri G.P Sharma Joint Director, Edn. Namchi, and other government officials.
The event was attended by Panchayat members from the Namthang Rateypani Constituency, alumni, ex-headmasters, former teachers, and students as the school commemorated its 75th year since its establishment.
Under the theme *“Reviving the Past to Unfurl the Future,”* the celebration showcased extraordinary performances by a Guest Artist from Sikkim University, Music Department, artists from Darjeeling, and the school’s students who actively engaged in cultural activities.
Furthermore, the event featured veteran and Under-14 football matches to promote unity among football enthusiasts from different age groups.
The President of the Organising Committee, Shri Saroj Gurung, and Headmaster Shri Deven Sapkota expressed gratitude to all attendees for their presence.
