DC Namchi chairs preparatory meeting for the upcoming 50th years of Statehood

Namchi, October 7 (IPR): Ms Anupa Tamling DC Namchi chaired a preparatory meeting for the upcoming 50th years of Statehood at District Administrative Centre, today.
The meeting saw the presence of Dr TN Gyatsho Sr SP, Mr Nim Pintsho Bhutia SDM (HQ), Mr Suraj Rai CEO of the Education Department, Mr PK Sharma Joint Director of the Education Department, Ms Deepti Pradhan DIO Namchi and representatives from various local organizations.
The meeting focused on key agendas for the Statehood celebration to showcase the ancestral history, heritage and literature of the Namchi district.
During the meeting, DC emphasised the importance of community involvement and the need to impart practical historical knowledge to younger generations. She also highlighted several strategies to ensure the event’s success as the state commemorates this significant milestone.
The meeting also discussed about various competitions, exhibitions, creation of memory wall to promote the district’s rich heritage and culture.
