District level awareness programme on Various Departmental Schemes under PMEPG organised at Community Hall Ravongla Namchi District
Namchi, 25 October: District level awareness programme on Various Departmental Schemes Such as UNNATI, RAMP, PMFME, PM-VISHWAKARMA, GEM, UDHYAM under PMEPG Scheme was organised on 25.10.2024 at Community Hall Ravongla Namchi District.
This programme was organised by Commerce & Industries Department to reach out to local entrepreneurs, SHGs and FPOs to motivate them to take up business in food processing sector and avail benefits under the Different Scheme of MSME and Commerce and Industries Department, Govt of Sikkim.
Around 80-90 local entrepreneurs and SHGs attended the awareness programme.
Mrs. Bimla Chettri Assistant Director MSME, Commerce & Industries Department welcomed the Guest & participants. She explained about the importance of the various schemes and food processing through value addition. She also encouraged locals’ entrepreneurs to take full advantage of such government schemes.
Shri. Bishu Sharma, President, State Ex- Servicemen Association, Chief Guest of the Programme in his speech emphasised to develop Sikkim into a self-reliant society and urged public to take up such schemes with utmost dedication and hard work.
He also appealed to local panchayat to take full benefit of the govt. schemes and help in spreading the awareness about such govt. schemes among the public.
Mr. Jiaul Islam Chowdhury, Consultant SPIU RAMP, Commerce and Industries Department explained briefly about the RAMP Scheme and its criteria.
He further, underscore the different Capacity building Programme Under SIP RAMP, Importance of RAMP and Marketing and branding, Importance of UDHYAM Registration, GST, Export Promotion Assistance available under the RAMP Scheme.
Further he also highlighted the various challenges of MSMEs in Sikkim and how RAMP Programme addressed the challenges of MSMEs in Sikkim.
Mr. Avishek Tamang, Inspector, Commerce & Industries Department (S/W) Highlighted on PMEGP scheme implementing by the District industries centre (DIC) in the state.
He explained in detail about the objectives, eligibility criteria, subsidies and nature of assistance including for SC, ST, OBC, women, Ex- Servicemen, minorities & differently-able persons.
Further he focused on the target sector including manufacturing and services. Moreover, he provided information on the required document & its process and support from the department including financial assistance, project cost, training and support to encourage the prospect beneficiaries.
He urged the participants to take the benefit of the scheme under PMEGP through DICs, KVIC and SKVIB.
Further, Mr. Prem Kr. Chhetri, SLPMU(PM Vishwakarma Scheme) address the gathering on PM Vishwakarma Scheme (scheme objectives, eligibility criteria, eligible trades, skilling, toolkit support, credit support,incentive for digital transaction and marketing support for the beneficiaries of the PM Vishwakarma.
Further, Interactive session was also organised to address the various queries of the participants.
The program was attendd by the CLC President (Barfung, Constituency), Youth Convenor, ,Gram Panchayat President and Members, Block Program Manager, SRLM, Ravongla block, NHPC President,SHG groups, Entrepreneurs,
