FitIndia Swachhata Freedom Run 5.0 celebration

Namchi, 26 October: The Fit India Swachhata Freedom Run 5.0 is being celebrated with the theme “Swachha Bharat, Swasth Bharat” from 2ndOctober to 31st October 2024 all over the country.

Fit India Freedom Run was conceived in August 2020 to create awareness among citizens for a healthy lifestyle.

This year the campaign continues to emphasize the dual themes of fitness and cleanliness, urging citizens to dedicate at least half an hour daily for the physical activities while celebrating their commitment to clean nation.

The campaign will conclude on 31st October 2024 with the Unity Run on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the “Iron man of India” SardarVallabh Bhai Patel.

In Sikkim, the SAI, STC Namchi in collaboration with Sports and Youth Affairs Dept. Govt. of Sikkim observed the Freedom Run with enthusiastic participation of athletes, administration, and local community on 25th October.

The program was attended by Shri. Basant Pradhan (Deputy Director Sports and Youth Affairs Dept. Namchi), Sports Academy athletes, Khelo India Centre athletes and Club members.
