DC Namchi chairs a meeting for Dharti Aaba Mega Event

Namchi, November 12 (IPR): The meeting for upcoming Dharti Aaba Mega Event under Ministry of Tribal Affairs in the supervision of District Administrative Centre (DAC) and Social Welfare Department Namchi was conducted at District Collector’s chamber in Namchi, today.
The meeting was chaired by Ms Anupa Tamling DC, Namchi.
Also present were Mr Nim Pintso Bhutia SDM (HQ), Mr Saran Kalikotey SDM Namchi, Mr Subash Ghimirey ADC (HQ), Mr Pravin Gautam SDM Namthang, Mr Sonam Dadul Bhutia Welfare Officer (WO) and along with Welfare Inspector’s (WI).
The JanJatiya Gaurav Diwas, part of the Dharti Aaba Mega Event, is set to take place from November 15 to November 26, 2024. The event aims at bringing together a range of activities that highlight the unique cultural identities of India’s tribal populations
During the meeting a discussion session was held with the Welfare Inspector’s (WI), where the agenda for the upcoming event was reviewed. The activities planned under Dharti Aaba include several initiatives as thematic wall paintings, EMRS sports events, Health campaigns for a tribal village, Saturation camp for opening of Jan dhan accounts and any other benefits under DA-JGUA.
