Awareness and Distribution Program of Micro- Irrigation under PRADHAN MANTRI KRISHI SINCHAYEE YOJANA- Per Drop More Crop for Rabong-Sangmoo Cluster, 24-25, Phase-1

Namchi, 5th December: An Awareness and Distribution Program of Micro-irrigation under PMKSY was held at Upper Gangla Ward under Rabong-Sangmoo Cluster on 5th December, 2024.
The program was graced by the Hon’ble MLA cum Deputy Speaker, Shrimati Rajkumari Thapa & the Deputy Director,Agriculture Department- Mr Wangyal Lepcha . The program was conducted in the presence of the Zilla Panchayat, Panchayat Members of 2 GPU- Sangmoo-Rankey and Rabong Khop, ADO, Agriculture Inspector ,Field Staff and beneficiaries under PMKSY.
The objective of this program was the distribution of poly tanks (1000 ltrs) to the 275 beneficiaries under PMKSY-PDMC in the above mentioned cluster.
The event highlighted the Government’s commitment to improving Agriculture in the region and extending the coverage of irrigation and improving water use efficiency.
The Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) continues to empower farmers by improving access to efficient irrigation systems. Through initiatives like ‘Per Drop More Crop’ (optimizing water use), the program promotes sustainable water management and boosts agricultural output.
