Madam Krishna Rai visits Samdruptse Namchi

Namchi, December 6(IPR): Madam Krishna Rai attended the opening ceremony of three-day long Tara ‘Drolma’ Retreat of Lineage of Himalayan Buddhism in Samdruptse Namchi today.
She was accompanied by Mr Satish Chandra Rai MLA Namchi-Singithang Constituency, Mr Nim Pintsho Bhutia SDM(HQ),Mr Pravin Gautam SDM Namthang, Mr Saran Kalikotey SDM Namchi, Mr Upendra Rai BDO Namchi along with other HoOs from the line departments.
Gyalwa Dokhampa Jigme Pema Nyinjadh from Bhutan is the resource person of this retreat and is said to be the ninth reincarnation of 400 years old lineage of Khamtrul Rinpoche. During this retreat, he will be accompanied by Ladakh HE Khamtak Rimpoche.
It may be mentioned here that this three days retreat will have teachings of compassion, integrated spiritual practices into everyday life and meditation practices.
It is also informed that Tara retreat is a spiritual practice that can help practitioners to connect with their inner potential for compassion and wisdom to remove obstacles on spiritual path.
The devotees from Sikkim, Kalimpong, Bhutan, Darjeeling, Siliguri and other parts of the country have gathered to attend this three days Tara retreat.
This retreat is organised by Tshechu Nyernga Tshokpa of Gangtok and Live to Love (Sikkim Chapter) and supported by various organisations and gumpas of Namchi district.
