Inter Constituency Football Tournament kicks-off at Jorethang.

Namchi, Jan 09 (IPR): Prior to Jorethang Maghey Sankranti Mela, the quarter-final match for Inter Constituency Football Tournament was kicked off at the football stadium, Jorethang, today.
The match for the day was kicked in the presence of Mr Raju Basnet, Minister Sports & Youth Affairs and Education Department, who was also the Chief Guest for the day.
Accompanying the Minister were Mr Madan Cintury MLA Zoom-Salghari Constituency and the Chief Patron for Maghey Sankranti Mela, Mr Biren Chandra Rai, Advisor SBS, Mr Yougen Tamang, Press Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr MT Sherpa, Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Ms Annapurna Alley, Secretary IPR Department, Mr Pavitra Manav, President NJNP, Mrs Manjari Rai, Vice President NJNP, Panchayats NJNP, Mr A K Tamang, Commandant 2nd IRBn Pipalay, Mr Parsuram Sharma, Deputy Commandant 2nd IRBn Pipalay, Ms Monika Rai, SDM Jorerthang, Mr Mingyur T Nadik, SDPO Jorethang, Mr Dilip Dong, MEO NJNP, Officers from line departments and Mr Nirmal Chettri, Former Indian Footballer.
The first quarter-final match was played between 01 Yaksom-Tashiding and 10 Poklok-Kamrang Constituencies. With a score of 3-0 where 10 Poklok-Kamrang constituency emerged victorious for the day.
Mr Pratap Tamang, of Poklok-Kamrang emerged as Man of the Match for the day after scoring two goals for his team.
Additionally, the event also had various cultural performances in between the tournament.
The Minister and the Advisor were also presented with souvenirs by the Sports and Youth Affairs department.
