3rd day of State Level Inter Constituency Football Tournament held at Jorethang

Namchi, 11 January (IPR): The third match for the quarter finals of State Level Inter Constituency Football Tournament was played between 10 Poklok-Kamrang Constituency and 30 Dzongu Constituency.
Mr Puran Kumar Gurung, Minister Agriculture Dept, Horticulture Dept, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Dept and Fisheries Development Dept, graced the event as the Chief Guest and Mr Bhoj Raj Rai, Minister Urban Developmemt Dept and Food & Civil Supplies Dept as the Guest of Honour.
Accompanying the Chief Guest were Mr Yougan Tamang, Press Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr Pavitra Manav, President NJNP, Mrs Manjari Rai, Vice President NJNP, Panchayats NJNP, Ms Monika Rai, SDM Jorethang,and Officers from line departments.
With the score of 2 goals each, the match proceeded towards a penalty shoot-out as the decider for the match. After a total score of 5 to 4 goals, the team 10 Poklok-Kamrang constituency bagged the victory for the day, advancing to the next match.
Mr Smile Rai from the winning team of 10 Poklok-Kamrang Constituency was presented with the title of Man of the Match for the day.
Additionally, traditional cultural performances were also presented during the course of the match. The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour was also presented with souvenirs from the Sports And Youth Affairs Department.
It may be mentioned that the State Level Inter Constituency Football Tournament is organised by Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sikkim in collaboration with the Maghey Sankranti Mela organising committee.
