2nd semi-final match of the State Level Inter Constituency Football Tournament kicks -off at Jorethang

Namchi, Jan 12 (IPR): Prior to Maghey Mela celebration, the 2nd semi-final match was played between 06 Daramdin constituency and 20 Chujachen constituency.
The State Level Inter Constituency Football Tournament is organised by the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sikkim, in association with the mela organising committee.
With the total score of 3 to 2 goals, 20 Chujachen constituency, advanced to the final stage of the tournament. Mr Daniel Lepcha from the winning team of 20 Chujachen constituecy was presented with the Man of the Match title.
Mr Satish Chandra Rai, MLA Namchi-Singhithang Constituency, graced the occassion as the Chief Guest.
Accompanying the Chief Guest were Mr Madan Cintury MLA Salghari-Zoom Constituency and the Chief Patron for Maghey Sankranti Mela, Mr Biren Chandra Rai Advisor SBS, Mr Yougen Tamang Press Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr Pavitra Manav President NJNP, Ms Manjari Rai Vice President NJNP, Panchayats NJNP, Ms Monika Rai SDM Jorerthang, Officers from line departments and Mr Nirmal Chettri Former Indian Footballer.
Later, the Chief Guest was also presented with souvenirs from the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sikkim. The match also had various cultural performances displayed.
