Namchi, 31 January: The Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Intensive Teaching Workshop was successfully conducted at Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology (SIST), aimed at enhancing teaching methodologies and fostering academic excellence. The four-day program featured insightful sessions delivered by esteemed speakers, covering key aspects of modern pedagogy.
Session Highlights:
• Day 1:
o Prof. Dr. Ajeya Jha (Department of Management Studies, SMIT) conducted a session on Building Rapport with Students, emphasizing the importance of student engagement.
o Prof. Dr. B.B. Pradhan (Principal-cum-Director, SIST) provided valuable insights on Effective Lectures: Design and Delivery, focusing on structuring impactful lectures.
• Day 2:
o Prof. Dr. Biswaraj Sen delivered a session on Contemporary Teaching, introducing modern pedagogical strategies.
o Prof. Dr. Ratika Pradhan shared practical approaches to Classroom Teaching and Maintaining Records to enhance academic efficiency.
• Day 3:
o Prof. Dr. Udit Kumar Chakraborty discussed Understanding Outcome-Based Education and its role in effective learning.
o Dr. Prativa Rai conducted a session on Reflective Teaching and SWOT Analysis, encouraging self-assessment and strategic teaching improvements.
• Day 4:
o Prof. Dr. Sanjay Dahal delivered an insightful talk on Quality Education, emphasizing its significance in shaping the future of academia.
o The program concluded with a Valedictory Function, where appreciation was extended to all speakers, organizers, and participants for their contributions.
