Namchi, February 3 : The Education Department, Government of Sikkim launched a comprehensive programme today to distribute essential study materials to students of government schools on the first day of school reopening in Namchi district.
The study materials were distributed across all 227 government schools in Namchi district.
In Namchi, the distribution event at various school was attended by Mr. Suraj Rai, Chief Education Officer of Namchi, Mr. Pem Norbu Bhutia Councilor NMC, Mr SJ Lepcha Chairperson SMC along with members of the school representative committee, principals, teachers, non-teaching staff, and students.
The State Government has made education its top priority to improve student progress, achievements, and overall academic performance. Through curriculum enhancements and a strong focus on quality education, the government remains dedicated to creating an ideal learning environment for student success.
As part of its commitment to improving education, the Government of Sikkim is providing free textbooks, exercise copies, shoes, socks, and school uniforms to students in all the government schools.
The State Government’s timely distribution of educational materials marks a significant step toward building an inclusive and equitable education system. By fulfilling students’ needs, this initiative fosters a supportive learning environment in schools across the district, enhancing overall educational access and quality.
