Namchi, 18 April (IPR) : Three days of soulful exchange, nature-filled inspiration, and passionate voices shaping what’s next — tourism that honors culture, uplifts communities, and protects the planet. Yangang is ready!

The International Youth Conclave for Tourism Development held from April 12th–14th, brought together voices from across the country, inviting dialogue on the immense promise for the future and for Yangang — a place where culture, community, and natural beauty seamlessly converge.

It was a privilege to have the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang (P.S. Golay), who graciously inaugurated the event as the Chief Guest. Also joining the proceedings was Deputy Speaker Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa, who contributed her insights as part of a distinguished panel comprising prominent tourism leaders, including Sanjiv Agarwal, Founder & Managing Director of Fairfest Media, and Sonali Banerjee, Project Editor at Outlook Group, among several other influential figures in the industry.

Among the highlights was the unveiling of a beautiful brand film capturing Yangang’s soul — its hills, its heritage, its people. The launch of the Youth Tourism Development Committee (YTDC) website marked another big step forward, creating a space for young changemakers to lead the way in sustainable tourism.

This event was organized by the Yangang Tourism Development Committee with the support of the Government of Sikkim, the Tourism & Civil Aviation Department, and various esteemed organizations.
