Namchi, 30 May : Government Senior Secondary School Yangang celebrated its Graduation Day with much enthusiasm and pride, marking the end of an academic chapter for its outgoing Plus Two students.
The event was graced by Hon’ble Deputy Speaker Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa as the Chief Guest, accompanied by Political Secretary to HCM Shri Bikash Basnet, SKM CEC Vice President Shri R.K. Basnet, School Principal Shri Puspa Raj Dhungel, renowned entrepreneur Shri Jagat Sharma, Principal Director (Education) Shri Sonam Denzongpa, SMC Chairman Shri Dipak Bhattarai, social worker Shri Bikash Agarwal, Nun Karan Agarwal, teachers and students.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Principal Shri Puspa Raj Dhungel, who highlighted the objective of organizing such an event—to inspire and encourage the graduating students to embark on their future journeys with confidence and purpose.
The event turned more special as proud alumni of the school, Shri Sonam Denzongpa, Shri Jagat Sharma, and Shri Bikash Basnet, shared their inspiring personal journeys. Each speaker reflected on their student days at Yangang School and emphasized how the foundation laid there helped them shape their careers. Their messages were filled with motivation, practical wisdom, and a call to believe in one’s potential.
In her keynote address, Chief Guest Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa lauded the initiative taken by Yangang School, calling it “a unique and meaningful gesture that sets an example for other institutions.” She said,
“Success is one thing, but to sustain that success and continue evolving with humility and discipline is what truly defines greatness.”
She encouraged students to chase excellence, stay grounded in their values, and keep learning through every phase of life.
The event also saw the felicitation of meritorious students, with awards presented to school toppers as a recognition of their academic achievements. Outgoing students were honoured with tokens of love as a heartfelt farewell gesture.
Adding glory to the institution, Mr. Roman Darjee, who recently became a state topper in Class X CBSE examinations, was also felicitated by the school for his remarkable performance and for bringing accolades to Yangang.
