PRESS RELEASE FROM THE OFFICE OF DISTRICT COLLECTOR NAMCHI

On 4th September 2025 at 1 P.M. a quarterly Inspection of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) & Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPATs) warehouse located at Election Cell was conducted in presence of the District Collector (Namchi), Ms. Anupa Tamling; the Addl. District Collector (Namchi), Ms. Trisang Tamang; the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Namchi), Shri Saran Das Kalikotey and the representatives of all political parties under Namchi District.

During the inspection the District Collector briefed about the primary objective of the inspection i.e. to ensure that the facility remains in optimal condition for secure storage of EVMs. The political party representatives undertook a thorough evaluation of the overall maintenance and condition of the warehouse. They systematically checked for any discrepancies or maintenance needs that could hinder the warehouse functionality.
