Press Release Panglhabsol Celebration Committee (PLCC), Rabong

The 42nd Panglhabsol Celebration 2025 began at Rabong on 30th August and will continue till 7th September.

The inaugural programme was graced by Hon’ble MLA Shri Rikshal Dorjee Bhutia as Chief Guest, with several dignitaries including Chairman Shri . Bhutia, Chairman Shri Sonam Pintso Bhutia, OSD IPR Shri Pema Chulthim Bhutia, APS Namchi Shri Bishnu Sharma, Govt. Contractor Shri Jamyong Bhutia and Social Worker Shri Bikash Agrawal present as Guests of Honour.

The opening also featured the first match of the Inter-State Volleyball Tournament between Rabong-6 and Phamtam, witnessed by a large gathering of the public.

The present Panglhabsol Celebration Committee comprises SDM Rabong Shri Wangchuk Sherpa, BDO Rabong Shri B.B. Tamang, SDPO Shri Roshan Rai, and the Tibetan Settlement Officer.

Panglhabsol, celebrated every September, honours guardian deity Mount Khangchendzonga. The festival will conclude on 7th September with the sacred Pangtham Cham and traditional dances.
