A comprehensive awareness programme at the Conference Hall of the Temi BAC

The Temi Gram Panchayat Unit today organized a comprehensive awareness programme at the Conference Hall of the Temi BAC with the objective of promoting and ensuring the effective implementation of various flagship schemes of the Central and State Governments.

The programme focused on creating awareness about government-sponsored health and life insurance schemes, educational scholarships, and other welfare initiatives available to eligible beneficiaries.

Officials from the concerned line departments, including the Health Department, Social Welfare Department, and banking institutions, actively participated in the programme and provided detailed information on the various schemes and their benefits.

As part of the programme, several eligible families were registered on the spot under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) by officials of the Health Department. Similarly, eligible students were facilitated with on-the-spot registration for government scholarship schemes by officials of the Social Welfare Department.

The primary objective of the programme was to maximize the coverage of eligible beneficiaries under various government welfare schemes, thereby ensuring greater social security and improved access to essential services for the citizens.

The programme was further enriched by the presence of the Additional Superintendent of Police, Namchi District, who delivered an informative address on cybercrime awareness. His session highlighted the growing threats of cyber fraud and emphasized the importance of adopting safe digital practices and remaining vigilant against online scams.
