A District Level Sports Meet, 2024-25, was organised jointly by Sports & Youth Affairs Department Namchi, Government of Sikkim

Namchi, March 15 (IPR): A District Level Sports Meet, 2024-25, was organised jointly by Sports & Youth Affairs Department Namchi, Government of Sikkim and Nehru Yuva Kendra Namchi, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, at Bhaichung stadium today.
The main event of the meet were football and volley ball tournament, where the team of YES Foundation Sikkim was victorious in the volleyball event and the team of Pragati Samaj, Salghari, was the winner in the football event. Other sport events played during the day were taekwondo, table tennis and badminton respectively.
The sports meet is organised under the Khelo India Campaign, in a process to promote healthy lifestyle through sports and also to bring the youths of 18 to 29 years of age under the umbrella of sports and sportsmanship.
The day had the presence of officers and staff members from both Sports & Youth Affairs Department and Nehru Yuva Kendra Namchi.
All the winners and the participants were awarded with certificates and medals.
