A joint inspection was carried out at Lingmoo and Tanak Under Rangang-Yangang constituency

Namchi, 5th October: A meeting was conducted to take stock of the availability of essential commodities.A site inspection was done by Area MLA Ms. Raj Kumari Thapa, SDM (Yangang) Mr. Tshering Norgyal Theeng, BDO (Yangang) Mr.T.T. Bhutia alongwith Zilla Panchayats, Panchayat and other officials visited the areas under Rangang-Yangang Constituency. Starting from the Lingmoo area, they thoroughly inspected the tanak bridge which connects Makha with Lingee-Lingmoo.
Ex gratia for 3 houses were distributed which was damaged due to the river surge. More, damages of house has been reported in Brom , Lower Lingmoo, Lower Lingee. Private lands was also washed away alongwith paddy fields along the river belt. Also damages of PMGSY Road at Lingee has been reported .
Additionally, forest office at Lingmoo has been damaged and office has been shifted to a rented place with the help of Panchayats. It maybe mentioned that only few office equipment could be retreived. Assessment of damages in Lingee areas continue tomorrow as it couldn’t be completed today.
