A meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) for the last quarter of financial year 2024-25 was held today at conference hall of District Hospital Namchi.
The meeting was chaired by Chief guest cum chairperson, RKS, Hon’ble Zilla Adakshya Namchi District, Ms. Anjeeta Rajalim, Special guest Mr. Saran Kalikotey,SDM (Namchi), SHO Mr.Tsheda D. Bhutia, Dr. Baroon Subba,Director, H&FW(Rtd) and Dr. S. N. Adhikari, Dir- cum CMO Namchi.
The meeting is also attended by other line department like Education, Buildings, Fire, PHE, PWD, Power and health staffs of DHN.
The welcome address was presented by DRCHO Dr. B. K. Chauhan.
Addressing the gathering CMO sir gave a brief overview of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti, explaining its main objectives and structure. He emphasised that the RKS is a connecting bridge between health sector and community. He stressed that the future course of the hospital depends on active community participation and a strong sense of belongingness.
Dr. Raju Singh,DMS & member secretary of RKS gave an overview of District Hospital Namchi’s achievements made by various sub- department of the hospital in improving health care services. He also shared the financial report for the year 2024-2025 and highlighted the proposals for 2025-26.
In the key address, Hon’ble Zilla Adakshya madam Ms. Anjeeta Rajalim thanked everyone for their efforts in upgrading the health care services and stressed the importance of community involvement. She also highlighted the need to build a sense of ownership at community level.
The plans and proposal placed by DMS has all been accepted and approved by the chairperson and the house. Lastly she has assured that she will extend full support in nurturing better health care services.
During the event, honourable Zilla Adhashya Ms. Anjeeta Rajalim and Dr. Buroon Subba were facilitated with acknowledgement letter for their unwavering support & contributions.Similarly old RKS members who has supported the hospital either individually or as NGOs were also got facilitated with appreciations and token of love for their contributions. Samiti has also extended warm welcome to all new members and organisation who became the new members of RKS.
