ADC Namchi chairs Coordination meeting for Jal Utsav Preparation 2024

Namchi, November 5 (IPR): A meeting for Jal Utsav event, was conducted at the District Collector’s chamber in Namchi today. The event aims to celebrate and promote water conservation practices in the community under the Aspirational Blocks Programme, in collaboration with NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India).
The meeting was chaired by Ms. Tirsang Tamang ADC Namchi, to facilitate seamless planning and execution.
Present during the meeting were Mr Nim Pintso Bhutia SDM (HQ), Dr C.P. Rai ADC (Dev) Namchi, Dr S.N . Adhikari Health CMO, Ms Peggyla Venchugpa DFO(T) Namchi, along with officials from various line of departments.
During the meeting, the program for the much-anticipated Jal Utsav preparations was discussed, featuring activities aimed at promoting water conservation and sustainability. The program will commence from 6th to 20th November 2024 identified under the aspirational district and blocks. The program is scheduled to be launched on 6th November by the respective District Magistrates, Collectors, Deputy Commissioners. It was also mentioned that an official from Niti Aayog would participate in the Jal Utsav program the following day.
Lastly, the meeting concluded with a discussion on the output and outcomes of Jal Utsav.
